Setup Metamask

Door integrates with the Metamask Wallet for transferring DOOR Token from the Door Wallet and a dedicated wallet.

What is Metamask?

Available as a browser extension and as a mobile app, MetaMask equips you with a key vault, secure login, token wallet, and token exchange—everything you need to manage your digital assets. You can learn more and download it at https://metamask.io/.

How to install Metamask

You can install Metamask as a browser extension or as a mobile app. If you choose to have Metamask on both your browser and your mobile phone you can connect to the same wallet to view your holdings.

The browser plugin makes it easy for exchanges like Uniswap to connect to your wallet when/if you decide to swap DOOR Tokens for another cryptocurrency (USDC or Ether). Think of this like exchanging currency - as if you were going to travel to another country.

The following screenshot is what the Metamask Plugin looks like in your browser. The mobile app looks very similar. You can see the icon (looks like a fox) in the top right of the browser. When you click on the icon it shows your Metamask wallet and your current balance for tokens you own.

Adding a Custom Token

DOOR Token is a custom token. So in order to see DOOR Token to your Metamask wallet so you can view your balance - you need to add DOOR Token to your Metamask wallet. Open Metamask and click Add Token (see below) and then put the DOOR Contract Address into the "Token Contract Address" field. Once you put the address in this field, it should autofill the Token Symbol and Token Decimal fields.

When withdrawing DOOR Tokens from your Door Wallet into Metamask

If you are withdrawing DOOR Tokens into your Metamask Wallet, make sure you put the correct Metamask Wallet Address.

You can COPY your Metamask wallet address by clicking on the name of your wallet. In the example below the wallet's name is Sample Wallet. You can see the Wallet Address under the name of the wallet. This address is what you will copy and paste into the Door Wallet.

Using Metamask to connect to Uniswap

Once you have transferred your DOOR Tokens into your own private Metamask Wallet, you are now able to swap them on Uniswap. You can swap them for USDC (which is the stable coin tied to the US Dollar).
