Coinbase Wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet and DApp (decentralized app) browser controlled by you and only you. This means that the private keys (that represent ownership of the cryptocurrency) for your Wallet are stored directly on your mobile device and not with a centralized exchange like Coinbase.com. You do not need a Coinbase.com account to use Coinbase Wallet, but you will need a Coinbase account if you would like to sell your crypto assets to US Dollars.
Coinbase Wallet is available as a downloadable app in the Apple and Google Play App Store.
Coinbase Wallet comes equipped with a DApp browser that makes it simple to connect to Uniswap when/if you decide to swap DOOR Tokens for another cryptocurrency (USDC or Ether), or vise versa. Think of this like exchanging currency - as if you were going to travel to another country.
Please note that Coinbase Wallet is not the same product as Coinbase.
If you are withdrawing DOOR Tokens into your Coinbase Wallet, make sure you put the correct Coinbase Wallet Address.
If you're sending DOOR Coin from DoorWallet to your Coinbase Wallet for the very first time, you'll have to select Ethereum as the token you'd like to receive. Since DOOR Coin is an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, DOOR Coin will share the same wallet address as Ethereum in your Coinbase Wallet. Choosing Ethereum as the receiving token is only required for the first transfer since Coinbase Wallet does not have the option of loading a custom token. Subsequent transfers can be done by choosing DOOR in your wallet, then copying the wallet address from there. In the example below, we demonstrate the process of receiving DOOR Coin for the first time by selecting the Receive option, then choosing Ethereum, and finally copying the Ethereum wallet address. This address is what you will copy and paste into the Door Wallet.
The best part about DOOR Coin is that it can be converted into US Dollars at any time with just a few simple steps. Once you've sent your DOOR Coin to your Coinbase wallet using the instructions provided above, you'll want to use Coinbase's built-in DApp browser feature to load Uniswap, where you'll convert your DOOR Coin into USDC.
We have created a useful link that loads Uniswap with the DOOR/USDC pair for you. Simply open the browser within Coinbase Wallet and type http://doorchain.org
In the example below, we demonstrate how to swap your DOOR Coin for USDC using Coinbase Wallet's DApp browser and Uniswap. Please note: A small amount of Ethereum is required in order to process any transaction on the network. This is a network fee that is paid to the Ethereum miners.
Once you've swapped your DOOR Coin for USDC, you're ready to send it over to Coinbase to sell for US Dollars. In the example below, we demonstrate the process of sending your USDC to Coinbase. Once the transfer is complete, you can complete the process of selling your USDC for US Dollars and withdrawing your funds to your bank account in the Coinbase app.
